Recent research indicates it might be differences in the grapes, not differences in the dogs. Different breeds of grapes have different levels of certain chemicals that are toxic to dogs.

If you post a serious question on friday and are looking only for legitimate answers, then please include the [Serious] tag on your post. Irrelevant replies will then be removed by moderators.
