I want you all to have fun and honestly just want to know the reason behind why in the consumers eyes an astonishingly big amount of women in videogames barely wear anything and have some dumb backstories to why they can’t wear more.
Would you feel the same if it was the case with men in videogames?
Do you care more about some jiggly parts here and there than immersion and logic?
I also very much enjoy womens bodies but would appreciate a bad ass armour on a bad ass character way more than a freaking swimming suit.
No crititque, just honest interest.
That’s not how fiction works. I’m not interested in a perfect recreation of reality in my video games. What would be the point? I can’t even play Stellar Blade, but I fucking hate the puddle deep take that Realism = Good. Are The Muppets bad because it’s not realistic? Is Star Fox bad because furries aren’t real? Is CoD better then Halo because Halo has Plasma Rifles?
Immersion doesn’t break because there’s titties on screen. It breaks when the game stutters because of poor optimization or when an MTX menu pops up.
There was this TF2 style free to play shooter game a few years back called ‘loadout’ and literally the only thing I remember about it was you could be nude in the game with your dick swinging around while you lugged your machine gun around. It was very fun and fit well within the style of the game.
To answer your question: i do not mind sexy men in a game with sexy women. Quite the opposite. It makes “sense”.
Then again it is, in my opinion, also ok to cater to only a certain group.
Your point of immersion also holds true but it very much depends on the game. I do not need logic and immersion in all games.
Also you have universes where things just work weirldy and you have to accept it. I have no issue accepting the rules of fantasy worlds.
Depends on the game. It would be out of place in Beyond Good and Evil or a lot of story-focused games. In a spectacle fighter? Everything should be absurd. You’re flying through the air smashing shit - gravity defying tiddies isn’t an issue.
Men in videogames are hot as well, even if more dressed.
Ask a man what’s a sexy attire for a woman, and most of the time they’ll answer lingerie or something like that. Ask a woman and they’ll answer business attire or fitting shirts.

I honestly wouldn’t care if the male characters were fully nude, as long as it fits the style of the game and it is rated appropriately.

but as a tradeoff the characters in the game were ugly as fuck

Logic only needs to be internally consistent for immersion, anyway. It doesn’t need to be consistent with our reality.

That’s just demand.
