Hey @tyfi, thanks for making an instance for Lemmy that works pretty good from Spokane.

I am sure that this place will soon start to get more and more people.

One question I have is, how can I make clicks that take me away from Wirebase open in a new tab/window? Is that just not a thing for the LemmyNet code?

The only thing I’ve seen for that is a… violentmonkey script. It’s definitely a problem that Lemmy as a whole needs a more reliable way to handle. And coincidental one of my bigger gripes with all the apps out right now. Hopefully it’ll be fixed in due time.

Hi @thisbenzingring@wirebase.org! No problem - happy that you’re enjoying it!

I actually hadn’t noticed that particular issue with links - but I’m using mobile most of the time.

I personally have a habit of holding down CMD when clicking links (on Mac), which always opens them in a new tab (CTRL if you’re on Windows). I’ve developed this habit because of the very issue you’re describing on Lemmy!

Like @rocket@wirebase.org mentioned – hopefully this is something that the Lemmy developers will iron out soon. I’ll keep an eye for an update with it!
