Administering a shot is easy now. I’m looking forward to two weeks from now when I increase my dosage from 5 units to 10.

Currently I feel like the medicine takes a slight edge off of my appetite, and I don’t feel a sense of panic about getting enough food like I did in the past. But I can still eat large plates of food once a day.

I took my 3rd dose on Monday. That’s about how I feel too. I’m finding it easier to stop drinking wine at night and I’m not snacking as much.

I am also not able to drink as much as before. I suspect when I go to a bar I may start ordering a club soda. I’m excited for this journey and am mentally trying to prepare for the higher dose!

I made an observation today. I still eat veggie burgers and fries once a week. I suspect semaglutide is making me dislike the sweetness of ketchup. I used to eat so much ketchup with my burger and fries but now I like spread/burger sauce/secret sauce, and can’t eat ketchup anymore. Burger sauce has more fat and calories than ketchup but it’s a more savory flavor. It’s a small change.

I also notice I feel fuller after I eat, when in the past I was embarrassed to admit that I wanted a second burger, but currently one burger and one order of fries stuffed me up. I have to brace myself for the possibility of not being able to eat a whole burger and order of fries in the near future.
