This caterpillar found its way up to one of my plant containers on my balcony. I believe it will turn into a moth later on in its life
I am always advocating making the city more green. I plead for introducing native flowers to the parks, to stop mowing fields of grass and just let them be, to assemble neighborhood comitees that think about the green spaces around them and to rewild people’s gardens. I did something as simple as planting a few flowers and plants on my balcony and the impact is great. So far I have seen hoverflies, bumblebees, caterpillars, solitary wasps, spiders and all kinds of other insects around my plants. And that’s just one balcony that isn’t even finished.
We need to change the view of cities being concrete jungles and instead think about how we can bring the nature back into the city.
