I have an internal monologue but the weird thing is that when I am falling asleep, I will get a completely different one playing in my mind independent of my thought processes. It is a bit like listening to an audio drama with a couple of people just talking. It often jolts me awake. I also sometimes get really loud music playing in my head as I fall asleep.

Do you happen to know if there’s a name for that?Technically, it’s Exploding Head Syndrome, although, as I suffer from !sleepparalysis@lemmy.world, I usually just describe it as a hypnagogic hallucination.
I have an inner monologue, but I have no mind’s eye (aphantasia). I can’t see shit in my brain. Totally blank.
