Congratulations, you have found yourself on the corner of lemmy where we share our fondness for little lead men (and women, and orcs, and elves, and… …well you get the idea).
So share your stuff and let folks know how great theirs are.
1 Month Update
So here we are, 2 months ago I was happy lurking around on… …somewhere else that we won’t mention, and now I’m moderating this dusty corner of the fediverse and thoroughly enjoying it.
A big THANK YOU to everyone who has posted, commented, upvoted and even downvoted, without your interaction this would just be me screaming in to the void.
It has been great to see people enjoying this community. As I have browsed lemmy I have seen countless niche communities that are have two or three posts from weeks ago or just one person posting with no other interaction, so seeing this community (a niche within a niche) thriving has been beautiful to watch.
Here are some of my favourite posts from the first month
-
@davetansley@lemmy.world gave us one of the first posts on the community with some pics of his old copy of the Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay Rulebook, some properly oldhammer content. https://lemmy.world/post/77037
-
@seiryth@lemmy.world showed off his wonderful Genestealer Patriarch, a great model from Rogue Trader. https://lemmy.world/post/378419
-
@metaanon@lemmy.world posted some great old Space Ork Raiders with a super clean paint scheme. https://lemmy.world/post/643152
-
@Phantomything@lemmy.world shared their amazing Rouge Trader force, including some of the amazing and sadly discontinued sculpts from Satyr Art Studios (I am very jealous). https://lemmy.world/post/1283249
-
And finally my favourite post came from @jantin@lemmy.world with the kind of question that can be debated for hours, what is oldhammer and what isn’t? Of course @setsneedtofeed@lemmy.world had a great answer that I suggest you check out, or even weigh in with your own opinion. https://lemmy.world/post/1031971
If anyone has any posts they enjoyed why not share them below.
Thanks again to you all (including the lurkers, we all know you’re there). u/fearofthedark
Thanks for the fav @fearofthedark@lemmy.world and thanks for setting up and running this community! As someone who is keen on opensource and decentralised systems it’s nice to find a thriving community for one of your hobbies, here on the fediverse. I’ll continue to post when I finish models, I’m pretty slow at the minute!
It’s a pleasure and thanks for tactfully showing me how to tag people properly on lemmy
