Yeah, that makes sense. I mean, they could just as well actually have applauded it, which is why it would work as satire in the first place.
It’s a sound effect. That’s the Press Secretary briefing room. You’re not allowed to clap or be a nuisance since it’s technically only for professional press briefings.
