There’s something about this one that I love so much. It’s a Haworthia kegani X cooperi var. venusta!

That’s nuts! I’ve always wanted one of those translucent varieties, but this it the most unique one I’ve seen! Definitely very “alien”.

Yes! I couldn’t believe my eyes when I first saw it, I thought the thing was fake. It’s one thing I love about a lot of succulents in general, a lot of them look so unnatural to me. Especially up close!

Stunning specimen! I don’t think I’ve ever seen this before, do you remember where you got it? Is it slow growing? Half of my cooperis seem like they never want to grow.

I bought it from KongerGarden over at Etsy!

Unfortunately they’re sold out of it right now, but just in case the listing is here and the store itself here.

I don’t have another cooperi to compare the growth to(….yet 😂) I feel it has been a slow grower though!

The macro shots are particularly stunning - what a lovely specimen!

Also, is that glass used instead of decorative stones in the pot? Obsidian perhaps? What an interesting idea that I now want to steal for some of my plants too!

Thank you so much! Always loved taking macro shots, it’s been really fun taking some of the plants and practicing a bit.

Yes, I’m using glass! I haven’t seen anyone using them either, was a bit nervous that it could prevent growth with so much light beaming through them. Just been slowly testing it out for the last 4-5 months on a few of them!

Nice! I think little glass cubes shouldn’t focus light in one spot like a bottle or something spherical could, so they might be fine? Never seen anyone else use it though, so I’m just spitballing. Love the way it looks though, time to visit my local parking lot with some stones in my pocket tonight! (I kid, I kid😉)

Someone cracking windshields for their succulent collection is a funny visual to imagine 😂

I don’t think the glass would be too bad in general after having used it for a bit. I’ve been seeing growth coming out from them, the Alien in particular has been doing really well. I have been a lil’ selective about what pieces I throw on just in case!
