It’s always said 5 on all my helmets (or immediately after a crash) but the conditions the helmet was kept in and maybe manufacturing could play a role. Either way, most I paid for a helmet is $300 but it also saved my life so, worth it! If I did emoto I’d probably be willing to spend more but the craziest stuff I do is ebike and singletrack so a downhill MTB helmet was plenty.
