What are everyone’s thoughts so far?

First episode: nft are old fade but their take was nice. I loved the “no concevable reason”

Party episode. I do love flash backs and really felt for fry. His mom just wanted to male him feel better and she ruimed his friendships. To bad fry never that his mom was cheating. Love the joke aboit “its a highly alkaline solution”

TemP worker. Best one so far and i love it came the day i got my new library card. Jeez show make me feel outdated.

So far not as good as last season.

Not a fan of the episodes that riff on “the current hot topics”: nft, eye-phone, etc.

Having said that, they’re better than no Futurama!

    I’m enjoying them.

To be fair. Old Futurama episodes first 5 seasons were also on actual topics those days, and music groups etcetera. Only difference is that today something is not fresh after 2 months in spotlight and Futurama episodes takes somewhat longer time than that to produce, especially when considering the strike last year I think it was.

I don’t think that’s a fair assessment. Stories in the first 5 seasons mostly had a non-current events focus, but admittedly did make references to both current and past events.

The best episodes are just interesting stories - “Parasite Lost”, “Time Keeps Slippin”, “Hell is Other Robots”.

Everything after season 5 is hollow, like the jokes are being written with a laugh track in mind. Its just not as clever. This season is no exception.

Consider Old man Waterfall defending Zoidberg: “I request a Satanic funeral.” “Boooo!” This the culmination of a running joke about American freedom values to “do what you want, but not like that.”

To season 6 opener: “Professor, my Fry-fro…”

I don’t have anything to add because that sums up my thoughts as well

I might skip the first episode on future rewatches, but the other two were fun

    Completely agree.

Yeah I think the first episode did a great job of explaining why NFTs are stupid haha

I love anything that flashes back to Fry’s old life. It was genuinely a funny episode as well.

The third is so brilliant. Absolutely loved it.

I actually like it as much, if not better than last season. I agree with the commentary on the fact that I wish the episodes that are based upon older trends/events would have been better if released more concurrently with those events.

I am less fond of the Bender-heavy storylines.

Though many of the jokes are a bit predictable, it still tickles me. I don’t seem to find as many quotable lines, but maybe I have overly and repeatedly watched the other seasons so much they are stuck in my brain.

In any case, I still think the pizza analogy holds up. May be bad, good, or somewhere in between, but it is still pizza and I will eat it every time with some semblance of enjoyment.

I’ve been really enjoying them so far! I was kind of nervous with the first episode being NFT focused but it seems the rest of the episodes have been great.

The flashback one was good, not quite as good as some of the other flashback episodes but it still pulled at the heart strings.
