I was thinking of swapping some btc for doge and got quotes from within the Trezor Suite. I notice of the different providers you can lose anywhere between about 1.5% - 4% on the trade. But let’s look at ChangeNOW in particular.

At the current exchange rate, the amount of btc I want to swap gives me a quote of 23,875 doge from within Trezor Suite. It also says, “KYC requested in exceptional cases. KYC may be required for refunds”. However if I go directly to the ChangeNOW website and enter the same amount of btc to swap, it estimates I would receive 24,455 doge. That’s a difference of 580 doge, or about 2.4%. So my question is, on Trezor Suite swaps, who is the man in the middle that is taking this rather exorbitant (imo) bankers fee? Why should I have to be forced to transfer out of Trezor to an exchange and then back again to make a fair trade? (perhaps crypto needs a ‘fair trade certification’ like coffee growers).

Furthermore, since the ChangeNOW site/exchange is non-custodial and does NOT require KYC, why is Trezor Suite telling me that it might be required? What exactly is going on here?
