Moomins are incredibly unknown in Turkey so it was a big coincidence for me to discover them. I already own 3 Moomin books and know a lot about the series and the author itself (and Summer Book is my favorite book of all time). I think that Tove Jansson is one of the greatest writers of all time and deserves her reputation in the Nordic literature. And I heard that it was a huge deal in Finland back then (a cultural symbol, even) but I wonder, how relevant Moomins are in today’s Finland?
