I had a module that I installed for temp/fan info for my MSI motherboard that has left something behind that I’m missing. After setting up MOK for module signing and enabling secure boot I’m getting a failure on boot to load this module. I’ve removed it using “dnf remove modulename” and I’ve manually cleaned out any other reference to the module that I could find.
“Failed to insert module ‘nct6687’: Key was rejected by service” / “Failed to start systemd-modules-load.service - Load Kernel Modules.” are the errors it throws, if I disable secure boot the error goes away even thought the module is uninstalled.
Odd thing is now if I reinstall it, the module gets signed and loads fine and I get the info, however the error persists. When I remove the module there is no modinfo for this module. So I assume the OG info is stored somewhere that I’ve not found.
Any help would be appreciated, I’m googling the hell out of this but no success yet.
