Relating to Dolby Vision:

  • I should leave Dynamic Tone Mapping OFF when using Dolby Vision… Correct?

Relating to using my gaming PC on my Sony A80K TV

  • Turn Dynamic Tone Mapping OFF > Use the Windows 11 HDR Cal Tool > Then according to HDTV Test, turn Dynamic Tone Mapping back ON to “Gradient Preferred” after the calibration? Correct?
  • Any other Windows 11 HDR settings I should know about relating to gaming?

Relating to using the PC with LG 27GP850-B monitor

  • This thing is “Vesa HDR400” certified… I haven’t used HDR on it at all, I usually play Fortnite, and I have the blacks turned up slightly for better visibility. I heard due to the lack of local dimming zones using HDR on a monitor like this can raise black levels, which may be beneficial to me considering I usually manually turn them up anyways… Should I put my black level back to default, try the HDR calibration and try playing like that? Or is HDR400 just garbage… this monitor has really poor contrast regardless
