My heels get so dry and cracked my wife bought me a foot sander for the shower. Tried it out several times and it took forever with little results. Then it dawned on me…hand sanding is for finishing, belt sanders are for removing a lot of material, so an orbital should work perfectly for my heels, right?
I may be dumb, but I’m not stupid…300 grit to start. Set it all up and hit the heel with the orbital. Took all of 2 seconds before the heat was felt. Holy Christ on a cracker did it heat up fast. My fricken foot was on fire! Hit the off button and let the sander drop. Didn’t even care it went full ragdoll/crazy cat on the floor while still spinning, my foot was in so much pain.
It hurt for about 5 fricken minutes straight…just burning. Ran in the house, turned on the cold water, no help. God Almighty really wanted me to learn a valuable lesson and I want to share:
500 grit max my friends. 500 grit max
