Hello! I would really appreciate any and all advice. I have been researching and everytime I think I know what I need I question it. It’s driving me crazy and I need some assistance if possible.

I like to get an ultrawide in the 27-35 inch range. 32s look perfect. A mild curve is fine. I will mostly be using it for work doing research and writing. I will use my macbook pro, which only has USB-C. If possible I would like it to be decent for gaming as I plan to buy a PC for that in the next few years, but it doesn’t need to be crazy top of the line for gaming. Right now all I play is minecraft lol.

Things that are very important to me are text clarity, higher contrast, true whites/blacks, and brightness. I’ve looked at some monitors supposedly geared towards photo editing and I hated them thinking they were super washed out and dull. I changed my macbook’s color profile and have contrast a tad higher. So I really do prefer high contrast and bright screens. I will do both day and night work.

I like the true blacks and contrast OLED offers, but it is said to have issues with text clarity? I don’t notice it on my phone’s OLED screen but idk. I’ve been on rtings and have dozens of tabs open and am so confused.

I would prefer to have something $300-$800 but I don’t know how realistic that is. The absolute max I can spend is around $1000 but I would really really prefer not to. I’m in the US.
