So there is a setting for enabling 120hz, which is called adaptive, and standard which is consistent at 60hz.
Why is there no power saving option to switch from 1hz to 60hz, instead of 1hz to 120hz? Instead, as far as I know, you’re stuck at 60hz even if in some situations adaptive would be better since the frequency goes down to 1hz. Why is this?
If you have an s23 or s23 ultra, you can see your live refreshrate by going into settings and typing “shoe refreshrate”. If you have a panel capable of going down to 1hz, see at what point it does go to 1hz and switch to standard to see if it dies or doesn’t also get reduced. Because to my knowledge, adaptive on the new phones are 1 to 120, and standard is 60 all the time.
Can someone confirm this, and if that isn’t the case, why isn’t that an option? You have tge technology, just cap it at 60, but let it go down to 1hz. Maybe it does go down to 1hz and there’s just not a lot of info on it. But if you have a 1hz capable phone, give it a shot in standard and see what it does.
