Hi guys, wondering if those more well-travelled than me can offer me some advice as I’m going a bit crazy trying to make a decision!

So for work I get flown out to Bali in November for as part of the team for an event. Last year I worked for 9 days then my girlfriend flew out to meet me and we had an 8 day holiday in Bali.

We absolutely loved it and had an incredible time, and left wanting longer.

Well the time has come around for me to go again, only this time I am able to take a 16 day holiday! I can either meet my girlfriend in Bali again, and we see more of the island and the neighbouring Gili islands and possibly Lombok too (though I’m conscious this is a muslim country and we are gay - we faced no discrimination in Bali however.)

Originally I thought 16 days wouldn’t be long enough in Thailand - I was put off by losing holiday time to the domestic flights. But now I’m worried I’m not making the most of the time by seeing somewhere new! We like a beachy holiday with local markets, beautiful landscapes and that super relaxed vibe. We loved exploring the temples, seeing the Balinese way of life with their kindness and offerings. It was an incredible trip and I left Bali feeling completely restored and worried I won’t have that same experience moving place to place in Thailand…

Please guys, anything you could tell me would be appreciated at this point!! Thanks all

(Bearing in mind I am saving up to travel long-term and do have very hopeful plans to return to SEA for a longer amount of time)
