Title says it all. I am running Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS with NVIDIA Corporation GM204 [GeForce GTX 980] / Mesa Intel® UHD Graphics 630 (CML GT2), when I try to use Default, Experimental, 8, or 7 Proton the game will load, say “Loading Vulkan Shades” and then die after the shades get to 100%. I have “Untitled Goose Game” using Proton successfully but that is the only other “Proton” game (I believe) that I have, so I am not sure what could be going wrong.
I have tried adding “–skip-launcher” to the properties, which at least seemed to make it stop trying quicker.
In PROTON\_LOG=1 %command%
I’m not seeing anything too crazy.
Any help would be appreciated!
Update:
I searched for “err:” in my Proton logs and have found the following errors:
err:winediag:nodrv_CreateWindow Application tried to create a window, but no driver could be loaded.
err:winediag:nodrv_CreateWindow L"The explorer process failed to start."
