I’m new to web stuff so sorry if this is considered basic.

I just ran into an app (T E D D I T, probably auto-banned by reddit) which only works if I put it on an exclusive subdomain, from what I can tell anyway. It works fine when I set DOMAIN=tedxxx.me.io, but I want it at me.io/tedxxx, and it doesn’t work there. I tried DOMAIN=me.io/tedxxx or DOMAIN=me.io and DOMAIN=me.io/tedxxx.

Since nginx makes it easy to have a me.io/appXYZ scheme going, I had been doing this because it’s simpler to just get a single SSL cert (Wildcard not supported by my DNS provider). I can add a DNS entry and create a new certificate for tedxxx.me.io but it annoys me to have to treat it differently from all my other apps and do extra steps.

Is this a known issue for some apps? Why?
