Its short but complicated. I had a folder on my desktop that I never opened as it was automatic when I downloaded tor. I wanted to hide it as I prefer my desktop to look neat and organized so I googled how to remove it (along with a bunch of other apps). I found a video that said to right click the app, go to properties in the dropdown, click “general” in the menu that pops up, and then tick the box saying “hidden”. I did this with a few apps before to make sure it just hid them. I highlighted the rest of the apps and did the process. I tried to open tor but it keeps saying “Tor Browser is already running, but is not responding. The old Tor Browser process must be closed to open a new window.” This confuses me as tor is not open at all (I even checked the task manager). When I go to uninstall tor there is no icon for me to uninstall. If there is anyone who knows what might be happening or who knows how to fully shut down tor to reset it that would be great.
