He is pretty excited, but nervous about whether he is qualified. As the interview starts to close, one of the interviewers across from him says that even though turnover is admittedly “sort of high” (low-performers are often let go) they always try to make it easier by giving them gifts.

“What kind of gifts?” The man asks, curious.

“We give them a 6-month supply of high quality coffee!” Says the interviewer.

The man is puzzled. “Coffee? Do you really think that’s going to soften the blow of unemployment?”

The interviewer replies “we think it’s acceptable grounds for termination.”
