I just installed a Ubiquiti Door access system for a customer. One of the doors using a maglock is a double door, so I had to use an external power supply and the dry contacts on the hub for one of the doors. Problem I am running into is, when power is removed from the hub, the door stays locked unless power is removed from the external power supply.
Everything else is working as it should. Push to exit opens both doors, fire alarm releases all doors, but it will not pass permit if both doors do not unlock when power is removed from the hub.
I am not on site, but I got to thinking about it, if I hook the door to the NO, instead of NC, will this fix my problem, or will this cause the door to be unlocked all the time except when the button is pushed or badge is swiped?
