Hej. I’m looking to spend 2.5 days/2 nights in proper nature (preferably forest) with my dog over a long weekend. I have a van and enough time to drive a maximum of about 4 hours from Copenhagen in any direction. I am intrigued by Rold Skov/Rebild Bakker but wonder if it would feel a bit underwhelming? Is Sweden a better option? If Sweden: do you have a suggestion for where to go? I’m having trouble pinning down a route, but I know there are options…

I’d prefer most of the time to be spent in nature (as opposed to alternating between nature + roads), and again really enjoy forests. And lakes :-). Deforested logging areas make me sad. Happy to sleep in the van or pitch a tent as makes sense for the location. Bonus points for the ability to build a little fire and have access to drinking water. I don’t mind staying at/exploring two different areas and driving a bit in between. In case it’s relevant, I’m a major food/wild food fan.
