So, for context, just yesterday my grandfather tested positive for COVID-19. So, like any sane person would do, we called the doctor. He said that he can’t order a prescription for paxlovid, and we have to do it through the government website. So, we order it. Then, a little while later, the guy from the government calls saying, and I quote “We can’t order it because the pharmacy won’t pick up the phone.” So my grandmother is getting angry FAST. So then today. At roughly 11:30 A.M., grandma calls the pharmacy. They say “We’ll have it ready in 2 hours.” Fast forward 2 hours, she calls the pharmacy, and asks for the manager. The manager, this guy who couldn’t be older then 21 (Grandma called him a pipsqueak) said, in the most high-pitch voice, something to the tune of “It’ll be ready soon”. 2 hours, nothing. Grandma is LIVID. She says “Screw this! I’m calling corporate headquarters!” After a 20-30 minute conversation, Grandma told the story to the lady behind the phone, and she was very compassionate. At the end, the lady at HQ called the store. Will provide updates as the story evolves.
Edit 1: Grandma just received the paxlovid, and Grampy has his medicine now!
