I stream on Twitch and the struggle is real sometimes as the NVENC overloads and I get pretty woeful FPS. I used to run dual 1080 monitors capped at 60fps Ultra settings on game, then I upgraded main screen to a 34 inch ultra wide 1440 at 100fps, I capped this to 60fps but games average about 40-50fps when I stream and not on ultra settings.
I am looking at upgrading my Sim rig screen from a 1080 to a 34 inch ultra wide 1440 100fps screen so I need to upgrade the GPU before this happens.
Current setup is a B550 MoBo, Ryzen 5 3600, GTX 1660 Super OC, 32GB RAM, 850w Corsair PSU and a handful of SSD’s. Air cooled on everything with 3 intake case fans on front, 3 exhaust at top and 1 exhaust at rear.
I am trying to decide between ASUS TUF 7900XT OC and the ASUS TUF 7900XTX OC. Current price for me in Australia is $1169 for the 7900XT and $1439 for the 7900XTX.
I was set on the 7900XTX but with the money saved on the 7900XT I could also buy a 5700X. Card length is not an issue as I’m running a Meshify 2 and it can take 451mm GPU.
What to do what to do…
