So I’ve seen some movie posters which commonly use a certain font. Sometimes it’s so common that it becomes a trope for a certain movie genre.

Take for example Helvetica. I’ve seen them on at least 20 different movie posters, and they sometimes use different variants (especially the condensed ones).

Agency FB is another example, which is used in the Mission Impossible film series.

Streaming service film posters, on the other hand, use minimalist typefaces like Montserrat or Momentum Sans.
