Hey,
I am a student working on masters thesis analysing the most effective tools and techniques organisations can use to defend against ransomware. I’ve run into a challenge finding detailed public reports that break down how specific mitigations are held up against actual ransomware incidents.
Most organisations don’t share this level of info. But I’m hoping some you may know of some useful sources that could provide more insights into real-world attack/defense scenarios.
I’m looking for:
- Case studies examining a specific company’s ransomware response
- Industry surveys asking companies about what defenses failed or succeeded when they got hit
- Research papers or datasets analyzing multiple attacks
- Public breach reports that include specifics on ransomware mitigations
- Any other data source providing details on security measures tested against true ransomware campaigns.
Please let me know if you can suggest any valuable reports, researchers, or other resources to check out. Even pointing me toward the right databases or search terms would be super helpful!!
Thanks so much for any guidance you can offer!
