I made a post on! fediverse@lemmy.ml but it doesn’t seem to appear when I go to lemmy.ml/c/fediverse or even lemmy.world/c/fediverse@lemmy.ml
I don’t think this is the first time this happened to me. What is the cause and is it fixable?
Oh wow. I searched your name on lemmy.ml and your comments are there and your posts to that Gentoo Linux forum are there as well. But not the post to lemmy.ml
That’s wild. Do you suppose the community has some sort of timer for new posts?

@ticoombs@ticoombs@reddthat.com any thoughts on this? I am guessing this is more likely lemmy.ml’s problem rather than ours, but figured it is worth bringing attention to you first.
There are lots of federation issues at the moment with 0.17 and 0.18. Both world and ml are running the latest possible versions as well
-rc
. There might be issues again with 0.18.0 and 0.18.1.
On top of that we have had some instabilities that I’m looking to fix this week. These could have attributed to the issues but my money is on both of them using the latest versions. Talk on the matrix channel was around problems with them federating so I’m not surprised we’ve seen an issue with it.
Looks like 0.18.1 is finally out. Shall update to that today and hopefully that will help
Same here, this post (https://reddthat.com/post/409958) shows up in c/selfhosted when accessed over this instance, but seems is stuck here locally, so it does not show up on lemmy.world
This issue would have been due to the database issue we experienced in the past 48 hours. https://reddthat.com/comment/680396
You can see in the UI there is no little federation icon as well.
I’m pretty sure it’s now stuck on our version of the community. Feel free to repost it as now we have fixed the issues regarding our database and everything is back to normal
Great, yes it works now. Thanks you!
