I’m planning to build a new pc with i7-12700 and rtx3060 Ti, but I don’t know how strong of a cooling system I need. Ram would be 32GB DD4.

I intend to use it for gaming, for example Elden Ring at a stable 60fps (besides the stuttering issue) and Red Dead Redemption 2 at a good, 60+ avg. framerate, both at maximum presets and 1080p (or maybe higher). I think for these uses I don’t really need to overclock, but correct me if I’m wrong.

I know one of the best air coolers is the Noctua nh-d15, but it is rather expensive. Do I need a cooler that powerful for gaming? How much of an issue is the heating of that CPU?

If I don’t really need such a high end air cooler, which air coolers do you recommend that are good enough to keep the CPU below 80°C when gaming and more budget friendly?
