I’m thinking about upgrading my Ryzen 7 1700x CPU, maybe to a 7 5700x as according to online calculators (but its weird as gpu gets at 93% while cpu at 25%) , that CPU might be a bottleneck. But I’m wondering if its worth it as those are AM4 chipset and the PC won’t be forward compatible as AM5 (and LGA 1700) are already out.

Current build:

  • motherboard: b350 f gaming
  • cpu: Ryzen 7 1700x
  • gpu: 3070
  • ram 32gb 3200hz
  • monitor 27GP850 (1440p 160hz)

Tl.dr: is it worth upgrading to another AM4 cpu or should I just change everything (keeping the graphics card) now to AM5 or LGA 1700 ?
