Hello, I currently work as a freelance editor, and have 2 external HDD’s (8TB and 4TB) laying around the Studio, collecting archive information with no backup at all (I hope i won’t get crucifixed for that here).

Today the 8TB HDD fell off the desk and I suddenly realised that if it will die on me, all my archive will be lost and I need to back everything up. I am very organised in my work ( i have a 4TB SanDisk SSD that I work from on my Mac Studio, and these 2 HDD’s for archive so i dont clutter the SSD) and I want a NAS. I am a fan of the Synology brand but obviously I don’t understand anything from the NAS World.

Where should I begin my research?
