Running a Paradigm Defiance X15. Have run ARC on the sub (it comes with an ARC mic and software), and the built in room correction on my amp (an Onkyo TX-NR555) for everything else. After running room correction the bass sounded almost non-existent to me. It was set to -14dB in the Paradigm subwoofer app, so I’ve raised it to -4dB and have felt happy at that range. I know what ultimately matters is how it sounds to my ears, but I’m curious from an objective standpoint if I have the bass up way too damn loud compared to the rest of the mix? Gear is:
