Hey y’all, picked up an OLED and decided to upgrade from a 2.0 system to something nicer. I have a pair of Klipsch bookshelves (R-41PM) and wanted to save money by building the system around that and upgrading later on.
I grabbed a matching center: Klipsch RP-250C for $150 A Dayton 12" Sub for ~$200 and got a nicer AVR (Denon S760H) To keep my upgrade path open
Here’s where I screwed up: The Klipsch Bookshelves are powered so I am unable to use them in this system. So now i am looking at dropping another $100 or so on the passive versions, is that my best route to just keep things simple? I know people are not fans of Klipsch so I’m hesitant to invest even further. My other option would be to return the center and start over at the front, but I don’t have a huge budget for that, would want to keep everything under $300 or so. Please advise on what you would do! Much appreciated.
Edit: Thinking I might buy the r41m for now and save up for the something from the rp line, then swap the r41s to surround.
