I am having weird issues across my setup. A lot of this sounds network related, but everything else in the house works just fine. I don’t have network dropouts on anything else, other than the below:

  • Sony 55XE9305 4K TV - Android OS is so so slow. Disney Plus only gives me Stereo PCM and iPlayer keeps crashing on me. (It’s not important, but this is connected to a Sonos setup.) I tried to remedy this with an Amazon Fire Stick 4K Max, but have had nothing but errors. When connected to THIS Sony TV, it refuses to connect to my WiFi (tried different SSIDs too). If I connect it to any other TV, it happily finds a connection. Also I think this might be related to the HDMI port but there was a weird Dolby Vision issue where it wasn’t registering on anything apart from Amazon Prime. The TV is mounted so I didn’t have access to the ports behind which I think might be a better shout.

• LG OLED B7 - Disney+ keeps stuttering. It’ll keep dropping out every 5 seconds or so and makes everything pretty much unwatchable. Every single other streaming service works just fine so it’s not a network issue, and I know the TV is receiving a solid network link.

Done all the usual stuff of resets, uninstalls and reinstalls etc. With this being a household with young children, a non-working Disney Plus is a big issue. Should I bite the bullet and just get 2x Apple TVs and be done with it? Happy to take any other suggestions.

My only other thought is I’m wondering if I have a wired internet issue causing issues on certain things. Maybe the network switch has gathered too much dust. shrugs

BTW I have two other old mediocre 4K LG TVs in other rooms connected to Sonos 5.0 systems running legacy WebOS which work perfectly and stream everything and anything I need properly with the right sound formats. Go figure…
