I’ve spent probably 6 hours scouring this subreddit, the guide/wiki, and YouTube. I know dick about home audio or audio in general, so my list I’ve put together is mostly from reviews.
Floor speakers- Airmotive T-Z Center- Airmotive C1+ Bookshelfs- Airmotive B1/2 (whichever I find in stock) Heights- Airmotive A1 Sub- SB-1000 Pro Receiver- Onkyo TX-RZ50
From understanding with having 8 speakers I would need a 9.2 channel receiver, correct? Or I guess I could get a 7.2 with a pre-amp? Idk. Original I was looking at the Denon x3800, which the guide recommended, but watching a handful of YouTube videos most people said the Onkyo just slightly beat it out for being roughly the same price.
So would this setup be decent? Is it overkill? Would I be spending too much money in the wrong places? Between this, projector and seating, I’m right around $10k and ideally that’s where I’d like to stay, but I’m open to suggestions if I can either save money or spend a little more for a much better sound stage.
