Insurance sales/scam calls are pretty standard.

I got one today claiming to be from a group called ‘ASE’ (or was it ESE?) who absolutely were not selling insurance and merely wanted to talk to me about a reduction on my current insurance… Riiighhht…

The guy said he had to make an appointment for someone to come speak to me about this and then after I said OK, sure, afternoon is fine, passed me over to another guy to complete.

This guy asked for my address, so I made one up in the UK… and unfazed he just said it’d take a few days for something to come through the post to that address.

I guess, this is some group of cheeky liars that gets commissions from setting up meetings with vulnerable people for pressure sales of unnecessary supplementary insurances. Am I right here? Or is there something more to it than this?

I had expected the UK address reveal would make them stop in their tracks but nope, they just barrelled on.
