Im going camping with my family in a few weeks, and the closer it gets, the more I’m dreading one aspect: sleeping. We’ve always had a large canvas tent that can fit 5 people in it to sleep in, so it’s usually my parents in the middle and myself/one of my sisters on the side of them (the other sleeps at the bottom of the tent). Maybe I just sleep worse or my parents are snoring more as they age, but the last few trips have been borderline unbearable at night—I’m a light sleeper, and my parents snore LOUD. Like, both of them snore very loud, so combined it can be super hard to drown out. Foam earplugs don’t work at all and most seem to fall out in the night; plus I like to listen to something as I fall asleep so earplugs are a last resort. I have a headband with thin headphones where the ears are, but when my parents really get going, I can still hear them. It takes me a long time to fall/get back to sleep, so waking them and falling asleep while they’re still quiet isn’t an option. Any suggestions or devices people have found that help with really loud snorers?
