I haven’t watched many new shows this year. But this one is really phenomenal.
I would have loved that, portugese characters spoke Portuguese. But the rest was amazing.
Most of the English would be Portuguese then as that was the lingua franca for trade in Japan.
Yes, if remember correctly. John is British but speaks a bit of Portuguese, I believe his crew doesn’t speak Portuguese. Some noble japanese people Speak also a bit of Portuguese.
It’s really a tiny tiny complaint because the show is so good, from the costume, photography, FX etc…

Absolutely deserving. Not only was I extremely entertained, I learned a ton about fuedal Japan. The acting was 🤌🤌
