Yes, I want straps… Just like a Birkenstock sandal. I also want a sole. Just like a Birkenstock sandal.
But I want it to be zero drop… Just like all barefoot shoes.
I also want it to have a wide toebox (or in this case; a more generously rounded toe area) just like all barefoot shoes.
All in all: i do not want a random barefoot sandal with random straps, like the xero Z-trek for example. As stated in my first post: i am looking for a classic Birkenstock sandal, but with the core traits of a barefoot shoe.
I know what all those words mean separately, but have absolutely no idea what they could possibly mean together and in that order.
Do you just want… straps? On top of your feet? And nothing else? But only for indoors?

Birkenstock are zero drop and roomy toebox. But they are supportive and stiff.

I bought a Birkenstock fake and will try it out. Father in law works with making shoes for disabled people, so I’ve got that going for me.
