Webp saves a bit of bandwidth for serving images and can allow up to 16383 pixels long images, which is all fine
But the metadata on some images is annoying af, they seem intentionally hard to download as it often just opens the image with a bunch of extra garbage in a new tab, I actually have to use an addon to cknsistently save them (as a format that works btw), and they have had critical security vulnerabilities in the past.
Fuck em. JPEG works. PNG works. Webp doesnt work but they forced it down our throats anyways.
Since the mod removed it I have recreated a censored version of the old comment, enjoy:
I can’t imagine having implementation issues with the other formats, sounds like a format issue.
You just love big companies. You love google picking flowers with you, cleaning your kitchen with their massive profit margin broom rod. Can you please let the internet not to be forced to witness your sick fetishisms, please?
