    OP is about to find out the hard way that the police don’t care to spend their time on this.

    Short summary: Someone keyed their car, and they have the person on video, but they don’t know who it is.

    That last part is the key, since the cops have about a 25% chance of doing their job if they do know the identity of the person. Without? Maybe a 2.5% chance they bother to try and find out, and 0.25% chance they actually find the person and charge them, then you go down to a 0.2% chance they face consequences (settle out of court, the most likely, or conviction, the least likely).
