every time i try to take a pic of my pets when they’re being cute like this, they immediately stop what they’re doing and come at me; how do you do it?

Work on the stay and sit command. Your dog shouldn’t get a treat for stay until you’ve walked all the way back to them without them running up to you. It takes time and some practice but you should eventually be able to get your dog to sit and stay, allowing you to step back a bit for the photo. Olivia is extremely food driven so she’s been fairly easy to train.

all my dogs have passed away, but i know it’s possible to train cats and now you’ve given me a new project idea that will improve my relationship with them; thank you.

You’re welcome! Sorry to hear about your fur babies. I’ve lost two as well.

it’s water under the bridge now, but thanks nonetheless and i’m likewise sorry about yours.

they come and go so quickly and that’s taught me to cherish them as much as i can while i have them (which is why i want pics) and i hope you are too.
