    I’m not saying they should let it happen. I think, absolutely, that they should prevent it. I’m just saying that they had ways available to prevent it that were a lot more likely to succeed, and weren’t limited to only protecting them and their friends and leaving everyone else out to hang if they come into Trump’s crosshairs. Trying to do this after taking their time failing to prosecute him with any kind of urgency for the last 4 years and then suddenly realizing now that they might need to take action, because people they know are on the long, long list of people he might try to imprison or kill, is a little late and a little weak and ineffectual. What makes you think his violent followers in the new law enforcement will care about your pardons?
