The card is for U.S. citizens who travel by land and sea from Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, and some Caribbean countries. The link also mentions you can use it in place of other id cards in domestic flights, but I’ve heard some TSA agents don’t believe it exists. Certainly not as useful as a full blown passport, but it is a thing. I am hoping it gets more usage over time.
