Liberal leadership hopeful Chrystia Freeland says she’s running against the “Ottawa establishment” as more federal cabinet ministers rally around her top rival Mark Carney, governor of the Bank of Canada.
“It’s central to my campaign to see this not about Liberal elites deciding. This is about the grassroots,” Freeland said in an interview on CBC’s The House that will air on Saturday.
I see.
Was looking at Carney’s wiki page, he’s at least come out against income inequality in the past, viewed stuff like occupy as constructive, pro sustainable economy.
Hoping they all drop platforms if they haven’t already, LPC registration looks to be free, considering registering to vote in the leadership election (cut off is the 27th), not the party I align with (decidedly NDP), but they’re the ABC choice for a lot of people.
Agreed. I registered a week ago.
I’m also NDP but Singh has a snowball’s chance in hell of winning, and I have never voted Con (for obvious reasons).
So Liberal it is. Having Carney as leader would make it easier on my conscience.
