From Fragrantica- ‘Amber and woody notes are united with a note of smoke which reminds of autumn and winter. This composition encompasses Guaiac wood, cedar, sandalwood, birch resin, oak moss absolute, castoreum, vetiver and ambergris. The nose behind the perfume is Laurie Erickson’

This stuff is the BOMB! Probably one of my absolute favourites in my collection. It’s perfect in winter, and just as good in summer, not heavy or overwhelming, just a superb fragrance…

Hello, Q! Thanks for another great post. It’s great to learn about new scents. In the past decades, I never really liked anything with smokiness. However, in the past 12-18 months, I have come to really enjoy more variety and appreciate some smoky fragrances. I’ll keep this on my list of things to try. Thanks again!

It’s like being in a refined amber, smokey bonfire, really smooth…Sonoma Scent Studio do a nice sampling program (or did when Laurie Erikson ran the company)

One smoky frag I’ve always wanted to try is ‘Cumming’ by Alan Cumming and cbihateperfumes Christopher Brosius, I love the smell of whisky and it’s also very peaty and smokey, sounds like heaven! Weird thing is I hate whisky and most alcohol (hate the taste) but I love the smell, fortunately I have a few boozy fragrances I can spritz myself with and enjoy it that way :)
