Hoping the cows can snag a win against the sharks tonight to get back into the top 8 since the rabbits and knights are playing each other so only 1 of them can jump back ahead of the cows.

Makes it tough, but there’s still a few permutations left on the board. Penrith might rest a bunch of their players for the last round. Though mostly, it doesn’t matter who they have on the park, they just keep winning 😠

Whoever loses between the Knights and Rabbits, just need them to keep losing …

I’m also wondering if that Rabbits v Roosters game in the last round might play a role. Roosters would love to screw up Souths, even if the Roosters can’t make the finals.

No Moses for Parra, and no JWH for Easts

It’s like the Roosters win twice lol

34-12. Roosters defended fairly well, but Parra without Moses didn’t seem to test things. Collins very good. Cheese ok too. Billy Smith been strong the last few games.

Roosters join the Cows in hoping one of Knights or Souths screws up. But the Roosters will need the Cowboys to mess up too. Roosters points difference is hopeless

Billy Smith has really impressed me the last few weeks too. Had never really been to keen on him but he’s looking good.

What do you think is the problem with the roosters? Players, coach, both? I honestly don’t think cheese is the 9 they need, and tbh I think he’s a lock who wants to play hooker.

I think it’s been the players. And multiple issues. Some getting big heads and thinking they should be playing different positions/roles. Some thinking other guys shouldn’t be playing. And there must be some fire with all the smoke coming off Mathew Lodge…

Their main problem has been their attack. Without Walker, there is not enough creativity. But with him, teams have 2 little guys (Walker & Keary) to run at, which means a bad defence. I also reckon Manu flopped at 5/8. He’s a good ball runner, but a bit of a hog, and can’t really set up others. Suaalii flopped at centre too. Much more impact at wing.

Injuries, and no Crichton for almost the whole year. The usual weeks off for stupid shit from JWH and Radley. The best ability is availability. But all teams need to deal with that.

Robbo is Robbo. Though sometimes I think a change of coach is a good thing, I reckon Politis will stick with him next season. The last month might have saved him, though. Now some of those flops above are arguably on Robbo, though some were kinda forced by injury. But personally, I think coaches always get blamed for the losses, and I like coaching stability. The most successful teams in any sport keep their coaches for long periods. So I support Robbo.

Cheese had been a flop for me up until the last couple of weeks. I couldn’t work out what his problem was. Carrying injury? Got his money and no effort? Fitness? And he was out injured too. Hopefully he matures into vintage Cheese next year.

Billy Smith has become a solid reliable player, which is what the Roosters need from him. Earlier in the year, he’d be dropping balls, pulled over the sideline and out of position or rush out of the line on defence. Not any more…

I’ll be watching to see if any players get tossed out in the off season. Politis won’t put up with any shit stirrers, and missing the finals will have him heaps mad. Some places had tipped the Roosters to finish 1st, and yet here we are lol
