I never understood the hype they built around it. Were people really clamoring for an. LTT-branded backpack? Did anyone think that a tech YouTuber could make a better backpack than what’s out there already? I feel like all the “features” they talked up have been available on backpacks for at least a decade.

I mean, they’re selling a thing, so yeah, they’re talking up mundane features like they’re the most amazing invention ever. That’s what peddling shitty merch entails.

I moreso meant it never seemed hype-worthy but they gave constant updates about it and I always saw people talking about it in the comments. Why would you want to buy a backpack from a tech YouTuber?

I mean I was interested, like the stuff they make does tend to have an eye for overlooked features on similar products. Like I am obsessed with a good screwdriver. I have a channellock that I love. Them partnering with LTT for essentially an upgraded one was neat. My channellock is just still looks brand new even after two years of weekly use.

But when the backpack price dropped and it was like “Haha wtf?” Then haven’t thought about it since.

At the risk of sounding like a backpack manufacturer doing market research, what about it made you interested? I’m not challenging you, I’m just curious because the idea didn’t appeal to me at all. I totally got the hype for the screwdriver, just not the backpack

I bought a Swissgear backpack 19 years ago, for like $100. I used it through college, conferences, travel, and work. It looks brand new yet, 0 issues with it in nearly 2 decades.

The LTT bag costs $250. That came with a ‘trust me bro’ warranty.

If I ever need a new backpack, it’s going to be Swissgear.
